Magadheera: Gulf rights sold

A few days after the theatrical rights of Ram Charan Teja’s most-awaited Magadheera in Europe have been brought by Ramu Penumanchu, it is now heard that the Gulf and Kuwait theatrical rights have been bagged by K.A. Chowdary and Basheer respectively.

The film will soon have an outstanding audio launch by Aditya Music. Directed by S.S. Rajamouli and produced by Allu Arvind, Magadheera has completed its entire shooting and the makers are now planning to release it on July 9.

Meanwhile, the release of Magadheera is likely to be delayed, as the Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce has imposed a ban of six months on S.S. Rajamouli on the basis of a complaint filed by producer Chanti Addala, who claims the director has refused to repay an advance amount of Rs. 5 lakhs.

Possibly the costliest film ever made in Telugu with a budget above 35 crores,Magadheera is described as an action-based romantic thriller to suit audiences of all classes. Kajal Aggarwal is the heroine. Story is by Vijayendra Prasad, dialogues are by Ratnam, styling is by Rama Rajamouli, while music is by M.M. Keeravani.
